A Grounded Approach to Reiki & Energy Healing
Reiki is a Japanese energy healing modality developed in the early 20th century by Mikao Usui. Traditionally, Reiki is offered through gentle touch or hands hovering above the body to support relaxation, balance, and the body’s natural healing response. Today, Reiki is widely used as a complementary wellness practice for stress reduction, emotional regulation, and spiritual grounding.
At Dharma Lifeways, Reiki is offered with deep respect for its origins while being integrated into a broader, heart-centered approach to healing. Rather than focusing on technique alone, sessions emphasize presence, intentional touch, and creating space for restoration to unfold naturally.
This work is not about directing or forcing energy—it is about listening, supporting, and allowing the body and spirit to return to balance in their own time.
Yoga Nidra
Guided rest for deep nervous system healing
Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation practice that leads you into a state of conscious rest—often described as “yogic sleep.” Unlike movement-based yoga, Yoga Nidra is practiced lying down and requires no physical effort.
Through guided awareness, breath, and visualization, Yoga Nidra supports:
Deep relaxation and stress relief
Nervous system regulation
Emotional processing and integration
Spiritual reflection and inner awareness
Improved sleep and mental clarity
Yoga Nidra is offered in two formats:
As a standalone 45-minute guided rest session
As an optional in-session add-on within Reiki sessions

What to Expect
All sessions at Dharma Lifeways are designed to support deep relaxation, nervous system regulation, and a sense of grounded presence. You’ll be welcomed into a quiet, calming space where there is no pressure to perform, fix, or achieve anything.
Depending on your session type, Reiki may include gentle hands-on or hands-hovering energy work, with optional Assisted Yoga Stretch or Yoga Nidra as in-session add-ons. Yoga Nidra is also available as a standalone 45-minute guided rest session.
Most clients experience calm, ease, or mental clarity during or after their session. Sensations such as warmth, heaviness, lightness, subtle movement, or gentle release may arise, though experiences vary. It is also completely normal to simply rest deeply without noticing specific sensations.
Sessions are intentionally paced for integration and nervous system support, with a rhythm that is safe and sustainable for both client and practitioner.
What to Wear
Please arrive in comfortable, relaxed clothing that allows you to fully rest and move with ease.
Soft, loose-fitting layers are recommended
Socks are strongly encouraged to help maintain warmth during deep relaxation
Stretch-friendly clothing (such as leggings, joggers, or comfortable pants) is ideal
Avoid restrictive garments, heavy accessories, or clothing that limits circulation or movement
All sessions are fully clothed, and blankets are available for added comfort.
