Reiki, Energy Healing & Restorative Practices for Deep Rest and Renewal
A Grounded Approach to Reiki & Energy Healing
Reiki is a Japanese energy healing modality developed in the early 20th century by Mikao Usui. Traditionally, Reiki is offered through gentle touch or hands hovering above the body to support relaxation, balance, and the body’s natural healing response. Today, Reiki is widely used as a complementary wellness practice for stress reduction, emotional regulation, and spiritual grounding.
At Dharma Lifeways, Reiki is offered with deep respect for its origins while being integrated into a broader, heart-centered approach to healing. Rather than focusing on technique alone, sessions emphasize presence, intentional touch, and creating space for restoration to unfold naturally.
This work is not about directing or forcing energy—it is about listening, supporting, and allowing the body and spirit to return to balance in their own time.

Gentle energy healing for relaxation, grounding, and spiritual support
Reiki sessions are offered in a calm, supportive environment and are designed to help quiet the nervous system and invite deep rest. Sessions take place fully clothed on a comfortable treatment table, using light touch or hands-hovering techniques.
Clients often seek Reiki for:
Stress and anxiety relief
Emotional balance and clarity
Spiritual cleansing or energetic reset
Nervous system regulation
Support during life transitions or periods of overwhelm
Each session is unique. Some clients experience warmth, tingling, or subtle sensations; others simply feel deeply relaxed and restored.
Session Lengths:
30 minutes — a focused reset and energetic tune-up
60 minutes — a more immersive experience for deeper rest and integration
-
Energy healing combined with gentle, assisted stretching
Reiki Stretch blends the calming presence of Reiki with slow, supported stretching to address both the energetic and physical body. This modality is ideal for those who hold tension in their muscles, joints, or fascia and want a non-strenuous, mindful approach to release.
Assisted stretches are always collaborative and within your comfort level—never forced. Reiki is woven throughout the session to support relaxation, grounding, and nervous system ease.
Reiki Stretch may support:
Muscle tension and stiffness
Feeling disconnected from the body
Chronic stress or physical holding patterns
Improved circulation and mobility
A deeper sense of embodiment and calm
Session Lengths:
30 minutes — targeted support for specific areas
60 minutes — full-body release with time for rest and integration
-
Guided rest for deep nervous system healing
Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation practice that leads you into a state of conscious rest—often described as “yogic sleep.” Unlike movement-based yoga, Yoga Nidra is practiced lying down and requires no physical effort.
Through guided awareness, breath, and visualization, Yoga Nidra supports:
Deep relaxation and stress relief
Nervous system regulation
Emotional processing and integration
Spiritual reflection and inner awareness
Improved sleep and mental clarity
Yoga Nidra complements Reiki and Reiki Stretch beautifully, offering a touch-free pathway to restoration and inner stillness.
What to Expect
All sessions at Dharma Lifeways are designed to support deep relaxation, nervous system regulation, and a sense of grounded presence. You’ll be welcomed into a quiet, calming space where there is no pressure to perform, fix, or achieve anything.
Depending on the service you’ve booked, your session may include gentle hands-on or hands-hovering Reiki, supported assisted stretching, or guided rest through Yoga Nidra. Sessions are unhurried and client-led—you are always encouraged to communicate your comfort level, needs, or preferences.
Most clients experience a sense of calm, ease, or mental clarity during or after their session. Sensations such as warmth, heaviness, lightness, or subtle movement may arise, though experiences vary. It is also completely normal to simply rest deeply without noticing specific sensations.
Sessions are offered in a 30-minute format, intentionally designed to provide meaningful rest while supporting integration and balance as you return to your day.
What to Wear
Please arrive in comfortable, relaxed clothing that allows you to fully rest and move with ease.
Soft, loose-fitting layers are recommended
Socks are strongly encouraged and required for Reiki Stretch to help maintain warmth during deep relaxation
Stretch-friendly clothing (such as leggings, joggers, or comfortable pants) is ideal
Avoid restrictive garments, heavy accessories, or clothing that limits circulation or movement
All sessions are fully clothed, and blankets are available for added comfort.
A Thoughtful, Integrated Practice
While Reiki has its own historical roots, the way it is offered here is shaped by a holistic understanding of healing—one that values presence, compassion, prayerful attention, and respect for the body’s innate wisdom.
These practices are offered as supportive, non-invasive wellness services and are intended to complement—not replace—medical or mental health care.
